Eona Yarns — Borrowed from the Earth
At eona yarns, we believe that everything we make begins and ends with the earth.
Our yarns are borrowed from nature — created from locally sourced, natural fibres, coloured with plant dyes and agricultural waste, and designed to one day return home to the soil.
Our yarn is dyed in Somerset by Anthony Green, an experienced and passionate yarn dyer who has spent over 25 years years perfecting the art of colour. Every hue carries the care of his hands and the patience of nature’s palette.
The name EONA holds its own story — it’s a tribute to Anthony’s family: Eden, Owen, Nina, and Anthony — the people who inspire and ground everything he creates.
eona also speaks of eternity and connection, echoing the ancient, cyclical rhythm of life: what we take from the earth, we give back.
At eona yarns, we craft with purpose — creating yarns that honour the land, celebrate slow making, and invite knitters to be part of something natural, lasting, and beautifully human.
